TRAININGS & LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES
Our fast moving industry and unwavering client-centric approach requires continuous development. We actively encourage a working environment that enables everyone to do their best. We motivate our colleagues not only to achieve their own professional goals, but also to meet their personal needs.
We established the Dorsum Academy educational programme to provide professional and vocational training from external sources, but also for internal knowledge sharing on ongoing projects and other topics during working hours. We have English lessons to boost our language skills for confident communication with clients on international projects and our subsidiaries in Romania and Bulgaria. Our graduates get time-off to prepare their thesis. We even support our people to find relevant fields to create their academic material with us.
Our management team is no exception to the rule; they have committed themselves to annual leadership and management skills trainings.
We are a forward-thinking organisation and are always on the lookout for fresh minds. We support talented people when they take their first step towards a new career, and help them reach their full potential. We announce trainee programmes once or twice a year for finance, economics and IT undergraduates in their final term. If you have a genuine interest in your chosen area and want to learn about concepts, processes and the rules of the securities market as well as becoming proficient in our product line, then we would like to invite you to build your career with us.
The trainee programme is not about making coffee. This is absolutely hands-on. You tackle real challenges to expand your skills and, with the help of a mentor, gain specialist knowledge during a six month period.

From the very first day, you become part of a dynamic team of 150 passionate and determined individuals which we call the Dorsum family. For us, caring about each other goes beyond the four walls of the office. Long, stressful hours can lead to poor results, thus putting effectiveness on hold. That’s why we believe creating a good work-life balance is crucial to our mutual success.
We are one of the proud winners of the Family-Friendly Workplace Award of 2013. We encourage regular feedback from our staff with annual “satisfaction talks” on how they feel. Like most workplaces, Monday mornings can be painful here too, but we believe that our investment in people makes Dorsum a great place to work. We offer part-time and other, non-standard forms of employment. We keep in touch with colleagues on maternity leave, support their reintegration to work and have created a children's corner at the office.
We are not all work and no play. We work hard and play hard, especially on Family days, at sports competitions and football matches. We bring warmth into the cold winter days with a little magic from Santa, and at our Christmas party, there is no shortage of singing talent.
